HELGA DINSE, (née Bergmann), of Elmwood Park passed away on Thursday December 29, 2016. She was 81 years old. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Robert Dinse and loving daughter Barbara . She is survived by her son Robert Dinse Jr. and his wife Suzanne and daughter Nancy Church and her husband Clifford. Beloved Oma to Hunter and Logan Church. She was an active congregant of St. John's Lutheran Church in Passaic and a devoted member to the churches charitable events held each month.

ANNA SUDAL (nee Kapusta) of Port Charlotte, FL and formerly of Mahwah, NJ passed away on December 20th, 2016. Anna is survived by her daughter Patricia Sudal and her husband Donald R. Thomas , her son John Sudal, her grandsons John A. Sudal and Theodore B. Sudal, her great grandson Xavier Sudal, her sisters Stella Rusin and Victoria Kmiec (and her husband Joseph) and her brother John Kapusta (and his wife Barbara) and sister-in-law Patricia Kapusta. Anna is predeceased by her loving husband John Sudal, her son Theodore Sudal, brother-in-law Joseph Rusin and her dear brother Stanley Kapusta.

Anna was born in Dabrowka, Poland and lived in Mahwah and Vineland NJ before moving to Port Charlotte, FL 33 years ago. Anna and her late husband John were owner and operators of their family owned farm business, Sudal Farms, which was sold to the now former Apple Ridge Country Club.

ALFRED E.YAROSZ Jr. "Freddy", age 79, of Parsippany formerly of Saddle Brook passed on December 17, 2016. Beloved son of Blanche Yarosz (nee Zagajewski) and the late Alfred Yarosz Sr. Loving husband of Terry Yarosz. Devoted father of Fred Yarosz III and his wife Michele, the late Lisa Marie Yarosz and Dennis Johnson. Dearest brother of Douglas Yarosz and his wife Christine and the late Diane Sherin. Also survived by his 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Freddy was a General Construction Foreman for J.P. Horan Inc. and a member of Laborer's Union Local 472. Freddy loved to entertain and played the drums with his father in the Fred Yarorz Orchestra. Freddy would later play the accordion and entertain his family and friends.

AMALIE STEIN (nee Rogowski), age 95, of Hillsborough, formerly of Saddle Brook, passed away on December 15, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Edward G. Stein. Amalie is survived by her loving daughters, Barbara Yarosz and her husband Stanley, Deborah Oberle, and Sally Emr and her husband Howard. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Donna and her husband Jimmy, Danielle and Melanie as well as her three great-grandchildren Sullivan, Lucy, and Flynn. Amalie is pre-deceased by her siblings Helen, Ann, Jenny, and Chester. Amalie was always engaged in actvities at the Senior Citizens Center in Saddle Brook prior to moving to assisted living in Hillsborough. She was a devoted mother and grand/great grandmother and loved family gatherings.

GILMA (Ita) MANSILLA, passed away peacefully on December 16th, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Alfonso Nelson Mansilla, her 7 children; Nelson, Carlos, Ivis, Fernando, Cecira, Jacqueline and Estrella, her 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She lived a long and happy life full of family, love and belly laughs that were so contagious you joined in even if you didn’t know what was so funny. Her presence demanded respect and her words always held value. Her wisdom was passed on and helped mold a group of wonderful, mothers, husbands, brothers, sisters and people in general. There are no words that can truly explain the emptiness that is felt without her, although it is known that she is and was a woman of God and is resting peacefully with the Lord and the pain of her not being here will surely linger for years to come.

We ask that you join our family in saying farewell to the strongest woman we know, she fought a long hard battle and deserves to finally rest in peace. The viewing will be held on Sunday, December 18th at Kugler Funeral Home 311 Fifth St. in Saddle Brook, New Jersey between 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. and again on Monday, December 19th at 10:30 a.m. for a service followed immediately by the burial at Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.

BRIAN D. GILLEN, age 55, of Lodi and formerly of Saddle Brook passed away suddenly at home on December 12, 2016. Brian was born in the Bronx, NY and lived in Saddle Brook for many years. Brian is a graduate of Saddle Brook High School Class of 1979 and was a Union Carpenter for Local 157 in NYC for over 22 years. Brian is pre-deceased by his parents, Thomas and Mary Gillen. He is survived by his brother Thomas Gillen and his wife Marianne, and his sister, Irene DiGuglielmo and her husband Thomas. He is also survived by his 3 nephews, Brendan Gillen and Thomas and Dillon DiGuglielmo. Brian was a fun-loving and great person to all that knew and/or met him and will be forever loved and missed by his family and many friends.

JOSEPH S. GRADZKI, age 92, of Pompton Plains, NJ and formerly of Saddle Brook, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 surrounded by his large, loving family. Joe was married to his wife, Alice (Gibbons), for 67 years. They were parents to 13 children; Joseph Gradzki, Jr (Rosemary), Marlene Lewis (Michael), Rickard Gradzki (Lorna), Patricia Homsany (George), Lawrence Gradzki (Katherine), Geriann Simoldoni (Robert), Jeffrey Gradzki (Maria), Bruce Gradzki (Sophie), Sharon Roberts (Darnell), Paul Gradzki (Marissa), Alan Gradzki, and he is predeceased by Gerard and LeAnn Gradzki.

Joe was owner and operator of Gradzki's Liquors in Saddle Brook for over 40 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Battle of the Bulge in Germany during WWII. Joe was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle RC Church in Saddle Brook for over 50 years. He was a Holy Name member and a high-score bowler in the Holy Name league for many years. Joe was an original director of Interchange State Bank of Saddle Brook. He was also a member and volunteer of the Polish American Club of Vero Beach, Florida for many years. Joe has 28 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 3 on the way.

KATHERINE "Kay" VUICH (nee Scaglione), age 95, of Saddle Brook, peacefully passed away on November 7, 2016 at Villa Marie Claire Hospice. She was born and raised in Jersey City, moving to Saddle Brook in 1951 where she raised her family with her beloved husband, the late Joseph Vuich. Katherine is survived by her loving children Cassandra Salmon and her husband Donald, Richard Vuich and his wife Kathleen, and Roberta Shaw and her husband David. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Joanna, Richard, Joseph, Kelly, Cynthia, Christopher, Jonathan and Jessica, as well as eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Vincenza “Vinnie” Scaglione and is predeceased by her parents, Salvatore and Maria Scaglione, her brothers Frank, Joseph, Louis and John Scaglione, and her sister Concetta “Connie” Catalano. She was a member of the Saddle Brook Senior Center and AARP. Kay was a loving mother who dedicated herself to her family. She had an appreciation for nature, art and music. The wonderful memories she leaves behind will fill the hearts of her family.

ANDREW "Pete" RITCHIE, age 94, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Allendale Community for Seniors. Andrew was born in Glen Rock, NJ on April 8, 1922. He is predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Jennie (nee King) Ritchie, his sister Mary Ritchie, and his brothers, Charles, Samuel and James Ritchie. Andrew is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years Patricia (nee Daley), his daughter Jeanne Ritchie, and sons, Jack Ritchie and his wife Janice, and Tim Ritchie and his wife Linda. Andrew is also survived by his grandchildren, Mike Ritchie and his wife Helen, Matt Ritchie, Dave Ritchie and his wife Nickesha, Caitlin Ritchie and Kevin Ritchie and three great-grandchildren Madeleine, Brian and Eva Ritchie. Andrew was raised and attended school in Paterson. He raised his family and continued to live in Saddle Brook for 44 years. He retired to Manahawkin and Galloway where he enjoyed spending time with his family, long walks and trips to Atlantic City. He was a United States Navy Veteran honorably serving his country during World War II as a Navy Chief Petty Officer. He was deployed in the Pacific on the Aircraft Carrier USS Shangri-La and received numerous commendations including the Two-Star Asiatic-Pacific Medal, Victory Medal, American Theatre and Good Conduct Medals. He retired from Curtiss Wright Corporation in 1983 after 44 years of employment. His proud and loving family will dearly miss his ever-present smile, sense of humor, kindness, his involvement with and interest in our lives, and his warm and tender heart.

MARGARET STUCKEY, (nee Gaughan), age 88, formerly of Saddle Brook, NJ, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Barn Hill Center, Newton, NJ. Margaret was born in Passaic, NJ and had lived and was raised in Clifton for many years. Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward F. Stuckey Sr. in 2013 and her son, James Stuckey. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Stuckey, her three Sons, Edward and his wife Blanche, Paul and his wife Laura, and John and his wife Maureen. Also survived by her grandchildren, Shannon Aslett, Audra Huber and her husband Christopher, Rachel, Jamie, Kevin, Ryan, Mary and Eamon Stuckey, and her great-grandchild Wesley Reynolds. Margaret is also survived by her sister Virginia Boscia, her sister-in-law Theresa Stuckey and is predeceased by her sister Annette Ryan, and two brothers William and Frank Gaughan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and special friends especially Cynthia Monaco.

Dorothy is survived by her beloved husband Lawrence Cannariato, her loving children, Charlie Cannariato and his wife Debra, Lori Giordano and her husband Frank, Linda Paolino, and Marie Romero. She is also survived by her five grandchildren Peter Romero and his wife Jacqueline, Vincent Paolino, Lora Paolino, Michael Paolino, Frank Giordano, her nephew Joseph DeGange and other nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law, Mildred Morici and Sophie Flannery. She is pre-deceased by her two sisters Lydia Byard and Nancy DeGange. Dorothy was born in Passaic, NJ to Joseph and Mary Latona and lived in Saddle Brook since 1959. VERONICA BRIDGET MACKEY CALCATERRA, age 90, peacefully entered the gates of heaven on October 13, 2016 in Saddle Brook, NJ. Ronnie is survived by her daughter, Johannah Calcaterra and her husband Garry Allen, her sons, James Calcaterra, Thomas Calcaterra and his wife Liz, Robert and Michael Calcaterra. She is also survived by her granddaughters Christine Mantineo and her husband Joe and Diane Cantarella and her husband Chris, great-grandchildren Christopher & Cara Cantarella and Colin Mantineo and her brother-in-law Arthur Ballway, his children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert, her parents and her loving sister Theresa Mackey Ballway. Vera is also survived by hundreds of people whose lives she touched no matter how briefly.

Vera was born on November 4, 1925 in Jersey City to James Mackey and Annie Cleary both from Nenagh, County Tipperary Ireland. She grew up in St. Luke’s parish in the South Bronx until she moved to Saddle Brook, NJ in 1955. She was an active parishioner of St Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Saddle Brook for over 60 years and a founding member of their Rosary Altar Society. She served on the Executive Boards of the Democratic Party in town, Saddle Brook Public Library Council, the Election Board and the Senior Center Counsel. Vera was a skilled knitter and worked with the volunteers at Hackensack Hospital to make numerous baby blankets and sweaters for the preemies.

STEVEN SOKOL, age 73, of Manchester Twp, NJ passed at home on September 16, 2016. Loving husband of the late Barbara Sokol. Steven is survived by his daughter Sherry Lemley and her husband Tom as well as his brother John Sokol and his wife Fran. He is pre-deceased by his sister Eleanor and his parents John and Helen Sokol.

Steven was a service technician for Sears Roebuck & Co. for many years. He was also President and founding member of the Exotic Aquarium Society of NJ, a group of Tropical Fish Hobbyists. Steven loved to raise, show and take care of tropical fish. His organization would hold show and displays at the Garden State Plaza in the early 1970's. Steven did whatever it took to provide for his family. He enjoyed visits to Atlantic City, Poconos with his wife Barbara, Skiing and a few trips to Bermuda. He also enjoyed many road trips with Barbara, his daughter Sherry to places including Niagra Falls, Florida, Martha's Vineyard, New Orleans, Golden Gate Bridge and even many wineries on the east coast. Steven also loved to visit the Jersey Shore area and feed the birds including watching the hummingbirds and would never forget to give peanuts to the squirrels.

DOROTHY TYLUTKI, age 93, of Saddle Brook passed on August 24, 2016. Dorothy is pre-deceased by her siblings Anthony, Michael, Joseph and Elizabeth. Loving aunt of Beverly, Linda, Diane, Keith, Michelle, and the late Anthony, James and Thomas. She is survived by her great-nieces and nephews Anthony, Kenny Jr., Damien and Darlene as well as many great-great nieces and nephews. Dorothy worked for many years for Becton-Dickinson.

Jacob Henry Leider, age 87, resident of Saddle Brook for 61 years, passed on Sunday, August 14, 2016 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Jacob was born in Passaic, NJ on June 23, 1929. He was a member of the Army National Guard of NJ 215th Armored Infantry Battalion. He was active in Saddle Brook Little League for many years as coach, manager, and President of the League. He was a member of the Baseball Umpires Association, an avid bowler and member of the St. Philip's Holy Name Society and American Legion Bowling Leagues, as well as a great fisherman. Jacob was a loyal parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle Church and member of the Holy Name Society and Church Usher. He was a member of the United Union of Roofers and Water-Proofers, Local 10. He was also actively involved as co-director of Saddle Brook Township Recreation Sports for many years.

Jacob is the beloved husband of Dorothy Leider (Nee Janosvo) for 64 years. Loving father of Thomas and his wife Laurie, James and his significant other Sue Anderson, and the late Diane Leider (1976). Dearest grandfather of Megan, Amy, and Rebecca. Dear brother of Donald Leider and his wife Diane, and the late Dorothy Hulbert, William Leider, Leonard Leider, Marie Black and Joan Brown. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

PATRICIA LARGER, of Fair Lawn passed away on July 24. She is predeceased by her parents Anita and Harold, and her brother Gary. She is survived by her loving sisters Donna and her husband James, and Judy and her husband Allen. Pat had a passion for flowers and design. CHARLES FISHMAN (Charlie) formerly of Ridgewood, NJ and currently of Canton, Georgia, died suddenly on Friday, July 22nd while in Ridgewood. Charlie was a Magna cum Laude graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology and was a physicist and computer software developer in the nascent computer industry of the 1970s. His specialty was business applications, and built his company, Precision Programming, Inc. to serve the needs of a number of different industries. He worked in the beginnings of silicon chip research, as well as the solar energy field. Charlie is survived by his wife, Jeanette, and his children, Benjamin (Sarah), Elizabeth, and Lauren, all of Canton, Georgia; his brothers, Neil (Debbie), of Glen Rock, and Glen, of San Francisco. Charlie was a loving and devoted grandfather to Isabelle, Luke, and Jaylin. Charlie was a huge Star Trek fan, an avid observer of his brothers' fishing, and had a passion for science and nature, as well as a fascination with the way things worked. He volunteered his time to the schools as "Mr. Wizard," to bring that same love of science to generations of students.

RAYMOND E. KLEIN Sr., age 88 of Saddle Brook died peacefully in his sleep on July 7,2016. Ray was a life long Bergen County resident and a resident of Saddle Brook for 60 years. Beloved husband of the late Gloria Klein and grandfather to the late Douglas Klein. Ray is survived by his son Ray Klein Jr. and daughter-in-law Donna Siepiola Klein, his grandson Ryan Klein and his wife Mary Gioa Klein and his great-granddaughter Emilia Klein. Ray was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving from1944-1946. "Ray" worked as a butcher for Rudlof's Market in Maywood from 1947-1951 and then Staff Good Deal and Rath Packing Company. He founded Kleins Market in 1955 and Kleins Catering Service in 1968. He served as President and CEO of Kleins Catering Service until 1990, where he was a mentor to many. He also served as Comptroller of Kleins - Bergen Party until 2005. Services will be private.

JAMES R. DICKSON Jr., age 84, of Saddle Brook passed on June 28, 2016. Loving husband of Mary Dickson. James is pre-deceased by his son James Dickson III. He is survived by his three children, Paul Dickson and his wife Antoinette, Gregory Dickson, and Cynthia Rivara and her husband David. James is also survived by his six grandchildren, Ryan and Daniel Fleming, Rachel and Brian Dickson, and Victoria and Tina Rivara.

James worked for many years for the New York Sterotyper Union, as well as Troll Associates. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of the Elmwood Park American Legion Post 147. James was also a parishioner of St. Philip The Apostle RCC. James will always be remembered for loving bingo and he will be truly missed.

MELODY J. ROGERS (née Gelok) age 71, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016, at Alaris in Cedar Grove, following a battle with Lewy Body dementia, diabetes and heart disease. Melody was born in Hackensack,
grew up in Wayne and has lived in Saddle Brook for the past 40 years. She worked at MetLife, before becoming a homemaker in 1966. She maintained a part time position as bookkeeper at her brother's various businesses throughout the years, but family life was always her priority. She worked at Allstate for several years once her youngest was in school full time. She was an animal lover, dedicating many years to rescuing. Her pets were always her joy. She also enjoyed gardening and spending summers at the Jersey shore. She is a former parishioner of Mountain View Gospel Church in Wayne. She leaves behind her two beloved daughters, Colleen Rogers of Saddle Brook and Colleen's partner Michael Porter, and Heather Rogers of Hackensack; her grandson Robert A. Akers, her grandson Oliver Porter, her niece Melissa Carroll, her brother Lyell Gelok and her precious dogs and cats. She is predeceased by her husband, George W. Rogers, her parents, Robert and Eveline Gelok (née Kretschmar), sister Cindy Thomas and brother Robert B. Gelok.

ANTHONY J. GUERRA, age 85, of Hackettstown, passed away on June 15, 2016. The son of Italian immigrants, and born in Franklin, NJ, he resided in Saddle Brook for over 40 years before moving to Heath Village Retirement Community. Tony, as he was known to his family and friends, served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer, of which he was most proud. After serving his country, Tony attended art school and college before beginning a successful career as a talented artist, often placing first in local and regional art shows throughout the area. Some of his work was featured in newspapers and at local business establishments. People would watch in amazement as he put pen to paper and quickly drew their likeness with uncanny accuracy. He was often commissioned to paint family portraits. As a graphic artist, Tony held positions at The Bergen Record and ITT. His artistic talents carried over to his occasional furniture building and he also enjoyed military history and spending time with his family. His love of family and unique sense of humor will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were close to him. Tony was the loving father of Mark Guerra and his wife Debra of Long Valley, NJ, and Linda Auteri and her husband Michael. He was the cherished grandfather of Danielle, Liana, Christopher, Mark, Maria, and Kristin. Tony is predeceased by his beloved wife Josephine and his family is comforted by knowing he will be reunited with her in eternity.

EDMUND E. "SONNY" STOLARZ, age 96, of Clifton passed at home on Wednesday June 15, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Dolores. Loving father of Geri Lynch and Thea Stoltz. Edmund was also a loving grandfather, brother and dear friend of many. Edmund was a maintenance worker for Montclair State University. He was a United States Army veteran serving during World War II and received the EAME Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

KAREN ANN KENNY, (nee Leone), RN, BSN, CSN, 49, of Saddle Brook passed away peacefully on May 2, 2016 at her home in Saddle Brook after a heroic battle with pancreatic cancer. Karen was born and raised in Saddle Brook, NJ. A graduate of Saddle Brook High School, Karen went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and become a Registered Nurse. After 13 years of working at Hackensack Hospital as a Medical Surgical Nurse, she became a School Nurse and worked 12 years for the Saddle Brook Board of Education at Franklin Elementary School. Karen was presented with the 2016 Educational Service Professional of the Year Award for the Saddle Brook School District by the Bergen County Education Association. She was also recently honored by the Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders for her Service and Dedication to The Students of Franklin School and recognized and honored by the Mayor for her dedication to the Saddle Brook community and the children who live there.

Beloved wife of Michael P. Kenny III for 22 years and loving mother of Matthew, 19, Michael, 19 and Allyson, 12. Devoted daughter of Katherine Leone and the late Louis Leone and adored sister of Glenn Leone (late wife Jane), and Kathy Lou Leone (partner Diane Santillo). Daughter in Law of Marie Elaine Kenny and the late Michael P. Kenny II, niece of Henry and Terry Fitschen and Carol and Phil Perry, sister in law of Charles Kenny (wife Jill), David Kenny (wife Lynn), Rosemarie Kenny (husband Edward), dearest friend of Susan Kumka. Karen was an extraordinary person who succeeded in every part of her life. As a loving mom, she brought so much joy and laughter to the lives of Matthew, Michael, and Allyson who were the lights of her life. She was a music and concert enthusiast with her son, Michael, shared the joys of the Broadway stage with her son Matthew, and became the ultimate soccer mom with her daughter, Ally, as a member of the Bergen Bulldog Soccer Family. As a cherished wife, she was the biggest cheerleader of her husband, Mike, as the Head Coach of the Saddle Brook Girls Soccer Travel Team. As a devoted daughter, sister, and friend, Karen was committed to Family and Friendships and she welcomed everyone into her home, making each gathering joyful and memorable. As a professional, she was a dedicated nurse whose talent, expertise, and compassion were admired throughout the community. Memories of Karen will always be cherished by her family and friends who have had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Richard is pre-deceased by his mother Lorraine Marcoux-Rymarz and step-father Floyd Rymarz. He is survived by his loving fiancé, Christine O'Neill, his children Shane, and his wife Debbie, Krystal and Renee, and his three grandchildren, Angelina, Aleah and Ezekiel (Zeke.) ANDREW YUHAS, age 91, of Garfield passed on March 19, 2016.  Beloved husband of the late Helena (nee Kalinyak).  Loving father of Helena Yuhas.  Dearest uncle of Carol Yakimik, William Mergo and  Robert and Janet Takacs.  Andrew was also pre-deceased by his sister Mary Yakimik.  Andrew was born in the former Czechoslovakia and came to Garfield at the age of 13.  Andrew was a United States Army veteran serving in the Pacific Theatre during World War II and is a recipient of many Medals and Citations including the Purple Heart Medal.  Andrew was a Electronic Technician and worked at Bendix Corporation in Teterboro for over 40 years.  He was also a faithful parishioner of the St. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church of Passaic.

John Herzo - Kugler Community Home for Funerals

JOHN HERZO, age 99, of Garfield NJ peacefully passed away due to natural causes on February 28, 2016. John grew up in Clifton and moved to Garfield after marrying Anna Jupin.  John and Anna were married 67 years before she passed away. John was a talented man. He had the gift of drawing and liked to paint pictures of the wild west. He learned to draw and design and build his own house from books that he borrowed from the Garfield Library. He also loved to play the guitar, harmonica and sing cowboy songs. During WWII he got a job with the Curtiss Wright propeller plant in Caldwell and worked there for 22 years. He then worked for the Air Quip Corporation for more than an additional 20 years. He and Anna had three children and put them through college. During all this time he was a faithful member of the Three Saints Russian Orthodox Christian Church. John is survived by his three children, John Herzo, Dennis Herzo and his wife Dolores, and Barbara Glinski and her husband Robert. John is also survived by his four grandchildren, Jonathan, Laura, Pamela and her husband Steven, and John and his wife Candace, and his four great-grandchildren Lily, Steven, Jenna, and Adam.

Mary Snyder - Kugler COmmunity Home for Funerals

MARY C. SNYDER, age 95, formerly of Saddle Brook, N.J. and Hilton Head, S.C. passed from this life to eternal life on February 28, 2016. She was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on June 2, 1920. She was the daughter of Vincent and Florence Segotta. Mary worked for Scott Paper Company where she met her husband, Stanley who predeceased her on August 26, 2008. She was employed by Marriott Corp. at the Fairfield Inn, Long Memorial School as a lunch aide, and also worked the after school program at Smith School in Saddle Brook, N.J. She worked at Shop Rite where she was affectionately known as "the soup lady." She is survived by her four children, Florence, Stanley, Gary and Catherine, ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Mary is also survived by three sisters and one brother.

Monica is survived by her two sons, Chris Pinar and his wife Alexandra, Gary Pinar and his wife Lori, and their father Harry Pinar. She is also predeceased by her daughter Sandra Pinar. Dear grandmother of Madison, Samantha, Nicholas, and Natalie. Monica is also survived by her sister Grace Sempiti and her husband Robert, and many nieces and nephews. Monica was very caring and loved by everyone she met.

CONCETTA CATALANO, "Connie" (nee Scaglione), age 91, of Saddle Brook, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 6, 2016. Beloved wife of the late John J. Catalano, she is survived by her dear sister Katherine "Kay" Vuich, who was her constant companion. She is also survived by her sister in law Vincenza "Vinnie" Scaglione and many loving nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Salvatore and Maria Scaglione, and her brothers Frank, Louis, Joseph, and John Scaglione. Connie was born and raised in Jersey City and lived in Irvington before settling in Saddle Brook. She worked for Western Electric in Kearny, retiring after 42 years of service. She was a member of the Saddle Brook Senior Center and AARP. Connie selflessly dedicated herself to caring for many family members and is regarded by Kay's children, Cassandra, Richard and Roberta, as a second mother. Her passing has been a significant loss for her family, and she will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held at Kugler Community Funeral Home, 311 Fifth Street, Saddle Brook, on Tuesday February 16th from 10:00am - 1:00pm. Burial to immediately follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook.

PATRICK JOSEPH McALENEY, age 90, of East Orange passed at the NJ Veterans Memorial Home in Paramus on February 8, 2016.  Patrick was born in Ireland and came to the United States through Ellis Island.  Patrick was a History and English teacher at Central Junior High School in Parsippany for 35 years.  Patrick is a World War II Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy.  Patrick is survived by his loving son, Sean McAleney and his wife Meisha and his two grandsons Simon and Brendan McAleney.

ANNETTE GAROFALO, age 75, of Lodi passed on February 1, 2016. Annette was born in Teaneck and grew up in Hackensack before moving to Lodi. Annette is the beloved wife of Raymond Garofalo. She is also survived by her brother Joseph DeGruccio, her two nephews Paul and Greg Smith, and three nieces Diane Hoover, Michele Fussell, and Tina Grant.  Also survived by her great nieces AnnMarie, Brianna and Kayla, great nephews Cory, Adam and Tony and great-great nephew Jonathan.  Annette is pre-deceased by her parents John and Louise DeGruccio, her sister Fernanda Smith and step-daughter Louise Garofalo.  Annette worked as a secretary for Givaudan in Bergenfield and was the president of the Bergen County Women's Bowling Association for ten years.

MICHAEL CARRAFIELLO, age 68, of Lodi passed on February 2, 2016. Michael was born in Harlem and grew up in the Bronx before moving to Lodi. Michael worked for many years as a florist, including as owner of Spina Florist in Lyndhurst. Michael was a member and Past President of the Lyndhurst Kiwanis Club. Michael loved singing, especially to oldies. Michael is survived by his loving sons, Michael and his wife Crystal; Matthew and his wife Jacquie, and his two grandchildren, Keith and Dominic. Michael is also survived by his sister Mela Janots, and her late husband Joseph, his brother Ralph Carrafiello and his wife Sherry, and many nieces and nephews.

Frank Malinowski - Kugler Community Home for Funerals

FRANK MALINOWSKI, age 96, of Saddle Brook passed at home on January 31, 2016. Frank was born in Passaic and lived there and in Hawthorne before moving to Saddle Brook in 1980. Frank was a former truck driver for Central Motors of Passaic.  He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II and a member of the American Legion Post 415 in Saddle Brook.  Frank was a member and Past President of the Bergen County Bowling Association. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Sophie (nee Alkema), his loving daughters, Cynthia Dellacroce, Sandra Tamburo and her husband Joseph, and Camila Malin. Also survived by his seven grandchildren, Alexandria, Joseph Jr., Christina, Susan, Anthony, David, Samantha and four great-grandchildren, Lauren, Allison, Krystal, and Anthony. He is predeceased by his daughter Marion Hennen, his son Anthony Harris, his sisters Estelle Usevich and Anna Guglielmo, his brothers Stanley, Adam and Joseph, and his son-in-law Nick Dellacroce.

DOLORES A. MISTRETTA, age 83, formerly of Saddle Brook passed on January 23, 2016.  Dolores was born and grew up in Manhattan.  She was a telephone operator working for NY Telephone Co. (now known as AT&T).  While in Manhattan, she met a man John at a roller skating rink who she would later marry and move to Saddle Brook 60 years ago.  Dolores also worked for Amana Appliance Company of Little Ferry as a customer service representative.  Dolores is pre-deceased by her late husband John Mistretta Sr. and her brother Richard.  She is survived by her loving son John Mistretta Jr. and his wife Valerie, and her adored grandchildren John Philip III and Ryan James.  Also survived by her sisters, Adrienne, Lucille and Linda.  Dolores was a huge St. Jude supporter, loved to cook, bake, garden, knit, crochet, photograph and was a big Elvis fan.

CHAMBERLAIN Jr., age 69, of Saddle Brook passed on January 15, 2016 after a long illness.  Sam was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and was also known as the "Sinker Man".  He was a member of Pipe-Fitters Local 274.  Sam is the beloved husband of almost 19 years to Patricia (nee Hurley).  Devoted father of Chris and his wife Kelly, Cynthia and Keith.  Loving grandfather of Amanda, Jake, Travis and Garrett.  Loving step-father of Robert, Matthew, Kelly and Briana Searles.  Dearest friend of Ralph DeJulia.  Sam is predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Helen, and his brother Bruce.

Vincenza was born in Paterson and moved to Saddle Brook in 1951. She
was a former school crossing guard for the Township of Saddle Brook.
