Arlene Orkenyi

Arlene Orkenyi, age 81, of Saddle Brook, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.

Arlene was the beloved wife of over 60 years to Steve Orkenyi, devoted mother to Eric Orkenyiand Deborah Orkenyi-Smith, and cherished mother-in-law to Christopher Smith. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Delenyi and Dylan Smith.

 A remarkable woman, Arlene will be remembered for her generous spirit, boundless kindness, and unwavering compassion. She had a deep love for animals and was deeply devoted to her family, always putting their happiness first. Arlene touched countless lives through her grace, warmth, and selflessness, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever be treasured by all who knew her.

Private funeral services, with the immediate family, will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Kugler Funeral Home, Saddle Brook, NJ. Arlene will be laid to rest at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery in Paramus. 

 In lieu of flowers, Arlene would be honored if donations were made in her name to either two of her favorite charities, RBari (Ramapo-Bergen Animal Rescue), or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
