Gregory Charles King, Sr., 75, of Saddle Brook passed away on June 6, 2024. Gregory was born on November 20, 1948 to Helen Mary King and Charles F. King in Passaic, New Jersey.
He joined the United States Navy in 1966, at just 17 years old. Gregory proudly served his country and was stationed in Jacksonville, Florida. After Gregory’s return home from the Navy, he pursued a lifelong career in the automotive industry. He finished his career at Jack Daniels Volkswagen in Fairlawn, NJ in 2015. Among all of his achievements in the car business, one of his proudest was having his son, Gregory, Jr follow in his footsteps. Anyone who came into contact with Gregory knew his love for the New York Giants, New York Yankees, and New York Rangers. Whether it was on the TV or radio he rarely missed a game. Gregory will be truly missed by his family and friends.
Gregory is predeceased by his wife of 39 years Christine King and his parents Helen Catanzaro and Charles King. He is survived by his son Gregory King and wife Natalie, his daughter Christie Dockery, his grandchildren Kaylee and Evan, and his sisters Patricia Gundry and Carolyn Bell. There are many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews as well.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 11th from 4-8pm at Kugler Funeral Home, 311 5th Street Saddle Brook, NJ (973) 478-2500.
