Lawrence Cannariato

Lawrence Cannariato passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024 at the age of 96. A longtime, well-respected resident of Saddle Brook, New Jersey, Lawrence lived a full and meaningful life. He was a master of his trade as a skilled bricklayer retiring at the age of 89. Lawrence proudly served in the U.S. Army post WWII, enlisting at the age of 17. He took pride in his Sicilian heritage and enjoyed sharing Italian food, wine, and music with family and close friends. His legacy will continue to live on through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom will forever hold him in their hearts. Lawrence was known by all for his kindness, strength, and sense of humor. He will be deeply missed.

Lawrence was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy Cannariato, married for 64 years. He is survived by his loving children, Charlie Cannariato and his wife Debra, Lori Giordano and her husband Frank, Linda Paolino, and Marie Romero. He is also survived by his grandchildren Peter Romero and his wife Jacqueline, Vincent Paolino and his wife Krista, Lora Meriwether and her husband Sean, Michael Paolino and his wife Alessia, and Frankie Giordano, his great-grandchildren Olivia, Eliana, Gianna, Farrah, Layla, Leo and Michael Jr., and his sister Sophie Flannery, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Charles and Mary Cannariato and his sisters Angelina Alosi, Lucy Morici, and Mildred Morici.

Services from Kugler Community Home For Funerals, 311 Fifth Street, Saddle Brook, NJ. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 4-8PM. Funeral Mass at St. Philip The Apostle Church, Saddle Brook on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 10:30 AM. Interment in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
