Leonard J. Jones

Leonard J. Jones, age 73, of Garfield, passed away on September 23, 2024.

Leonard is the beloved husband of 48 years to Linda Jones (nee Egan). He is the loving father of Stephen Jones and his wife Ellen and Michael Jones, dear grandfather of Emily, Stephen and Evelyn Jones, and uncle of Frank Gallagher. He is predeceased in life by his siblings Althea Gallagher, Charlotte Mahwinney, and Thomas Jones. Leonard loved his dog Buddy who will dearly miss him.

Leonard was born on June 10, 1951 to Thomas and Emily Jones in Jersey City where he was raised before moving to Bayonne in 1976 when he married his loving wife Linda.They moved to Garfield in 1991 with their two sons, Stephen and Michael. Leonard worked as a bus driver for Bergen Avenue Bus Company in Jersey City for 20 years. He was a big family man who loved spending time with those that he loved and he will be dearly missed.

Funeral services from Kugler Community Home For Funerals 311 5th St. Saddle Brook NJ. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 4-8 PM. Interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery, South Hackensack, on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 11am.
