Ruth Ann Ferri

RuthAnn Elizabeth Ferri (nee Szilasi) age 81, of Toms River, formerly of Saddle Brook, has passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024. RuthAnn was born in Passaic and lived in Saddle Brook for 76 years. She retired and lived in Toms River for the last 7 years. 

 As a teenager, RuthAnn was part of the Powder Puff Drag Racing club. RuthAnn attended Saddle Brook High school where she met the love of her life, William Ferri. It was there that their relationship grew and they eventually got married on April 29, 1962. RuthAnn and William created a wonderful life with their 2 sons, William and Jan. 

RuthAnn owned and operated her own successful hair salon for 30 years called The Hair Loft, in Hawthorne. Here she created loving relationships with her clients and found great joy in making others feel beautiful. This was a place Ruthann felt at home. 

In retirement she was a member of numerous clubs in Holiday City and enjoyed spending time with friends and her grandchildren. 

RuthAnn was the wife of the late William Lawrence Ferri and is survived by her 2 loving sons, William Ferri and his fiancé, Janette, and Jan Joseph Ferri and his wife Lisa. She also leaves behind her 5 beloved grandchildren Anthony (Alexandra), Chanel (Jake), Joseph (Allison), Gabrielle and Olivia. In addition to her grandchildren Ruthann also leaves behind her 2 great grandchildren Denver and Brody. She is also survived by her sister Arlene Ranghelli (nee Szilasi).

Services from Kugler Community Home For Funerals. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, November 24, 2024 from 12-4pm.
